Trinity Lutheran Church

March 2019 Business of the Month

Jesus said You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under a bushel basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light in all the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16) This verse from the Bible gets at the heart of what it means to be the people of Trinity Lutheran Church as they realize their call not only as a church but as individuals to shine the light of Christ into the world.

Trinity Lutheran is about being this ‘light on the hill’ which shines the light of Jesus not only in our building but throughout the community. Sunday School, Vocation Bible School, (July 30-August 1) and Confirmation are vital ministries for our youngest ones, but we also grow and serve in other ways including quilting and prayer shawl groups, and prayer and Bible study groups. And we can’t forget the Lutefisk and Buffalo suppers.

One of our newer ministries is Simple Servant. This group is called to help others with simple tasks they are not able to do on their own. If you know of anyone who has a simple project, which doesn’t require a building permit or certification (electrician, plumber, licensed/bonded contractor…) this may include but is not limited to maintenance/repair, changing light bulbs, organize/clean, and lawn care.  For more information contact church office at 701-683-5841.

Worship services are Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and select Wednesday evenings (see Gazette or our digital sign).  During Lent please join us for dinner in our lower level fellowship hall at 5:30 and worship at 6:30. Trinity’s pastors are Norm Anderson and Tammy Jacobson.
