North Dakota Veterans Home- We are proud to be the home of the North Dakota Veterans Home.The Veterans Home, once called the Old Soldiers Home, is located on a 90 acre wooded campus bordering the Sheyenne River.
Scenic Byway- Starting north of Valley City and heading south to Kathryn, Fort Ransom and Lisbon you will learn about the history, culture, wildlife, archaeology and geology of the region.

Dead Colt Creek- is an excellent area for boating, fishing, ice fishing, camping and picnics!It is located just 5 short miles southeast of Lisbon on Highway 32.
Fort Ransom- Within a 20 minute drive from Lisbon, this small town provides tons of amazing opportunities and beautiful scenery.
National Grasslands- A nature conservatory rich in wildlife and birding opportunities and rare plant species. Get back to nature 10 miles east of Lisbon along highway 27 in the Grasslands.
Scenic Byway- The 63 mile, National Scenic Byway follows the ancient Native American foot paths and pioneer wagon trails along the breathtaking Sheyenne River Valley leading to Lisbon.
Ransom County Driftskippers- Over 300 miles of groomed snowmobile trails enjoyed by snowmobilers from across the entire state and beyond.
